Search For Vice Provost Of Perimeter College Announced

ATLANTA– Georgia State University Provost Risa Palm today (Sept. 9) announced a search for the first vice provost and dean of Perimeter College at Georgia State University.

The vice provost and dean is the primary executive officer for academic, administrative, research and service functions of Perimeter College. The position reports to the senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at Georgia State and is responsible for visionary, innovative leadership and effective administration of the college.

Applications and nominations are due by Sept. 25. A search committee made up of faculty, staff and students from Georgia State and Georgia Perimeter College has been appointed to review the applications in October. Interviews will be held on all campuses for the three finalists between Oct. 12 and 20. The committee will make recommendations to Georgia State President Mark Becker by late October.

Perimeter College will officially become an academic unit within Georgia State in January 2016 after a Board of Regents vote. The Board approved consolidation of the two institutions in January 2015.
