Staff Reductions Post Consolidation

Fifteen administrative positions have been eliminated at Georgia State University as a result of the consolidation.

Seven of the affected employees were from Perimeter College and eight from the Atlanta campus.

Work has continued on the Georgia State University and Georgia Perimeter College consolidation this summer. The 40-member Consolidation Implementation Committee met May 16, June 4 and June 19, approving recommendations that emerged from operational working groups across the two institutions. Many of the Operational Working Groups (OWGs) have begun to submit recommendations for the consolidated institution. The recommendations are being submitted to Randy Stuart for coordination and recording, they are then forwarded to the relevant Functional Area Coordinator (FAC) for first level review.
